Project information

An expansion is planned for an increase of 1320 MW in capacity with two new 660 MW units, described by the company as units 3 and 4.

The power station was developed in two phases, with the phase one involving two 210MW units commissioned in 1994 and 1996, respectively and the phase two involving two 660MW super-critical units commissioned in September 2019.

Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) was awarded the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract for the boilers, turbines, and generators of units three and four of the IB thermal power station and commissiond in 2019.

We are responsible for executing the plant’s comprehensive illumination package, encompassing the TG area, Boilers and all other operational areas. This scope covers the complete supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of illumination systems to ensure safe, reliable lighting across all critical plant zones.
